THE WORLD FAMOUS
The World Famous create exciting and visionary ephemeral art, using fire and fireworks in original and ingenious ways.
Our work is hugely diverse and encompasses firework displays, outdoor theatrical spectaculars, photographic art, sculptural bonfires, community education, interactive installations, processional imagery and special effects for film, TV and theatre.
Much of our work has been created in collaboration with other artists, and 
we are always on the look-out for fresh ways to unleash the explosive beauty of fireworks. We have collaborated on tours with Improbable (for Sticky) and Peepolykus (for Blast!). A core team of freelance artists and technicians work for the company on a regular basis, while large scale projects utilise a much larger network of artists.
Formed in 1998, The World Famous has earned a substantial reputation as a pyrotechnic and outdoor theatre company. The company is currently run by its director, Mike Roberts and its full-time production manager, Tom Bailey, and administrator, Mary Nockles, with the support of 5 Associate Directors.
